
A new restaurant opens on Djurgården next to the Vasamuseum and Skansen in mid-June. The new restaurateurs at Villa Godthem Inn (built 1874) are Melker Andersson and Danyel Couet owner of the Guide Michelin star restaurant F12. Godthem will be their eighth restaurant in Stockholm. Villa Godthem currently undergoing a complete renovation.
The Inn’s new style can be described as timeless with a modern style and atmosphere to be experienced as warm, cozy and familiar. The garden will be lush with different types of seating arrangements and lighting – everything from ornate steel chairs to rustic wood furniture.
The public areas consist of an upper and lower dining room, porch, terrace, lounge / bar, club rooms and a cafe in the garden. The dining room, porch and terrace can accommodate 360 seated guests and 200 garden cafe guests.
Villa Godthem will also accommodate the four royal clubs: the Royal Motorboat Club (KMK), the Royal Automobile Club (KAK), the Royal Swedish Aero Club (KSAK) and the Royal Swedish Yacht Club (KSSS).
A typical Villa Godthem dish will be the classic swedish dishes served in a modern way. Among them the Inns classic meat and mashed potatoes dish: “Plankstek á la 2011″. Other meat dishes, seafood and desserts will also be on the menue.
