After eleven days of great movies from all over the world, the grande finale of the Stockholm International Film Festival took place this weekend. All the awards were announced and our neighbor Norway was a big winner! The movie Oslo August 31 brought home the awards for Best Film and Best Cinematography.
The spy thriller Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy won the Fipresci – The International Film Critics Prize for Best Film. It was directed by Tomas Alfredson (pictured), a Swedish director who became world-renowned for his adaption of the vampire novel “Let the right one in”. “Tinker Tailor…” was also chosen for an extra screening last night.
